Hi was just wondering what a typical day as a sales degree apprentice look like?

Would I be shadowing senior member or working with other people like me?

Hello Ishani :) your first year will be as a Merchandiser, this will be Merchandising within grocery supermarkets . In your induction period you will spend time with other new apprentices, but following this you'll then shadow 1-1 with your team leader and Account Executives in your area.. teaching you the role, your customer base etc. Once you're settled in you'll then visit your stores alone but will always have support from your manager and team!

You will then rotate into different roles in the business as you move through the apprenticeship year on year. Your second year will be in a Sales Rep role.

Okay thank you, and what would you say is the most difficult/ challenging parts of the apprenticeship in both the first and second years.

Challenges are personable to each person I suppose as everyone has different strength areas. I think one challenge may just be adapting to balancing both a work life and uni life, particularly if working is new to someone. However, we support this as much as we can with dedicated time to your studies (20% of time) and to visiting your university. you will also have dedicated support from your manager and team who can help assist whenever time is challenging.

It may then be a challenge that you're learning a new role in each year that you're in the apprenticeship however, full training and induction is always provided with ongoing support.
