Currently working in wholesale with a strong interest in transitioning into field sales
There are many that differ day to day, some are larger than others, but for me it is what makes the job so interesting and diverse as we look to tackle them both with an individual sales exec and as a team. They can vary from social challenges like what are we doing about the use of plastic and the impact the sugar tax is having on retailers etc. So we look to educate our customers so they can tell the consumer what we are doing on all major social issues. Then the day to day challenges are as simple as space in an outlet vs competitor, how do we approach that and the guys get to use a variety of tools with the customer to ensure our product is stocked alongside or in some cases instead of competitor product. It's hard to pick one challenge, each day has its own, but it's important to know that you have the ability to try and overcome them yourself as well the support of your immediate and then wider team within the business with any challenges you are faced with.
