Personally I would say the most challenging is understanding the reasoning to why something was to happen such as why the inverter is connected to a motor for example, however this is heavily explained when carrying out the job by people you are working with as they want to help you. You learn a lot from other people on site and i think that is the best part about it, hope this helps.
hi Jake thanks for your response I am aware you have an ASRS system at Wakefield which is where I have applied I am wondering if the role undertakes any work in relation to this as I already have experience working on an ASRS system currently.
Yes i have worked within the ASRS for 8 weeks not long ago there is a variety of tasks you have major breakdowns which i found most fun and benefitted me as i got hands on experience and understood more issues from a single breakdown, CIL plans are also included this means maintenance on the chains conveyors and ensuring everything is up to the correct quality and cleaned for purpose.
There is also issues with the programme incase a pallet gets mis-located or isnt in the correct position, I really enjoyed the ASRS here and the people there are really good!
perfect thank you, is there any information I can research to give me a better understanding of what I may face/ have to deal with if my application is successful?
If you want i can give you a day to day basis of what the job includes?
is there any research I can carry out before the interview to give me a better understanding of the machines I might be dealing with etc
I dont believe theres anything to help give a better understanding however i can give information on the machines in there if that helps ? Thank you.
yes sure thanks
if you are eletrically trained there are motors with inverters, cranes , the insides of the cranes as in the compartments, rewiring and problem solving with turn-tables with sensor work from what i have seen and can remember howver there is a lot more, mechanical there is so much such as conveyors chains LHD's on the crane which is the forks theres a endless amount. Hope this helps feel free to ask anything specific if you need . Thanks
that's great thank you.
