Hi! I've always found the balance very manageable. University requires that work gives you at least 8 hours a week (so one day per week) to be dedicated to your univeristy work. I have an agreement with my line manager that I work from home on Fridays to manage my assignments and other university bits and pieces but this can vary from manager to manager.
