Integrating SAP into the business was very challenging. The complexity of merging all the departments and making everything very transparent across sites wasn’t easy. Using SAP meant everything had to be automated. We had to teach each Operator how to use the system as it was a key tool on the production floor. Many people were resistant and many people struggled with using computers. On several occasion productions lines had to stop due to there being a lack of material as not enough had been ordered through SAP. The journey had several stumbling blocks but we are now in a good place with it
